Writing poetry is like finding the perfect simile.
Many of these poems are collected over the last 10 years. Well, and by “collected” I mean: randomly scattered throughout my journals. I do not write poetry very often. It kind of just happens when I’m interested in capturing, or desirous of expressing, a feeling I just cannot get out quick enough for a lengthy, rehearsed narrative.
